For parents and teachers
Our lessons are made for children's first steps in music, and for the grown-ups who walk with them. Here is what you need to know.
Free at its core
The lessons are free, and there's nothing to install: they open in the web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. You need the instrument, and a microphone to let the lesson listen; a camera is a help, but not needed.
Song packs
Beside the free lessons there are song packs: collections of songs to learn and play, each with a free song to try. A pack bought once plays on every instrument.
If a pack isn't worth it for you, you can have your money back within 7 days, no questions asked, with the Refund button on your account page. We're new, and we'd rather you were sure.
Accounts are for grown-ups
An account is optional: the lessons work without one. Signing in keeps progress and purchases, so you can pick up on any screen. Accounts are for grown-ups, 16 or older.
A child plays with a parent's or a teacher's account, with the grown-up signing in. Children can play without giving any personal information.
Privacy
The microphone and the camera are used only inside the browser, on your device: pictures, video and sound are never recorded, stored or sent to us or anyone else. Our privacy policy explains everything we keep, and why.
In the classroom
Teachers can use the lessons on the classroom screen or on each child's device, alongside their own teaching. The lessons show the fingering, listen to each note and explain what to change, so a child can practice at home between classes and arrive ready.
What we believe
We believe every child already has music in them. Our lessons are built for calm and focus: no rush, and a child's own music celebrated before it is corrected.
